Services for Alumni
Effective May 1, 2009
The following services are available to all alumni who have been awarded a degree from an undergraduate school at the University of Pittsburgh and are beyond one year from your graduation date.
Services for free:
- Pitt Events
- Networking nights are open to all Pitt alumni through the Alumni Association.
- Access to workshops and programs through the Career Development Office
- Pitt Career Fairs and Pitt Consortiums Career Fairs
Services for $15
- Access to FutureLinks (on-line job posting system)
- Pitt receives over 2,000 job listings a year. Registered alumni may access these listings on-line through the SEPA website.
- Access to On-Campus Interviewing
- (This is an undergraduate service and occasionally employers are seeking alumni)
- Alumni are eligible to participate in on-campus interviewing with employers who agree to consider alumni. They must meet the employer’s requirements (i.e. major, degree level, etc.).
- NOTE: An alumnus/a who misses a scheduled interview without first notifying our office will be denied further on-campus interview privileges and will not be refunded.

- (This is an undergraduate service and occasionally employers are seeking alumni)
- Alumni are eligible to participate in on-campus interviewing with employers who agree to consider alumni. They must meet the employer’s requirements (i.e. major, degree level, etc.).
- NOTE: An alumnus/a who misses a scheduled interview without first notifying our office will be denied further on-campus interview privileges and will not be refunded.
- Access to a Career Counselor/Consultant – eligible for 2 individual appointments
- Receive resume/cover letter/application critique
- Gain interview experience through mock interviewing (must schedule 5 days in advance)
- Establish a list of employment and/or career interests that you would like to pursue
- Access to an Employment Development Specialist – eligible for 2 individual appointments (*must have a comprehensive resume and well defined career interests)
- Provide you with sources of employer information, literature, job leads, and employment trends.
- If the employer accepts resume referral, providing that you meet employer’s requirements, the Employment Development Specialist, at his/her discretion and with your approval will send your resume to potential employers.

The responsibility for finding employment is up to each individual. The University of Pittsburgh, Office of Student Employment and Placement Assistance (SEPA) cannot guarantee employment, the resources of SEPA are available to assist our students, recent graduates, and alumni.
